During quarantine we all have our good days, our bad days and our even worse days, hopefully to forget. There are many ways to lift your mood, and while in quarantine we think you can indulge yourself a little. You need to take care of your mental, physical and spiritual health. Here are some sure ways to heighten your mood and turn a cloudy day into a beautiful sunny day.

Get Up And At 'Em

An energetic start to the day will gear you up for the rest of the day. Hit the shower, get dressed and have a morning coffee. You will lift your mood if you do this every morning as part of your routine. Nobody feels fresh and high from mooching around in their pajamas with bed head hair all morning. 

Meditate And Find Your Peaceful Place

Meditation is a way to ground yourself and find inner peace. You can let go of all the thoughts running through your mind and let it be. This can be done for short bursts of 1-5 minutes if your house is crowded and noisy during quarantine, or for longer spells if you can and feel it is benefiting you. 

Get Yourself Moving And Grooving

Exercise can be done every day even if you are in quarantine. A quick search of the Internet and you will find many fun mini work outs that you can do in your living room or bedroom. There are stretching classes, aerobics classes, yoga classes and cardio classes all online, and many of them free too. Anything with music can be uplifting. You might discover a new hobby. If you can get outside and breathe in some fresh air it's great for your mental health as well as physical health. 

Chocolate And Wine Are Made For Times Like This

Many people believe in indulging a little every day. A small piece of chocolate for a daily treat and a glass of red wine in the evening can be enjoyed without ruining all the good work you did when you were moving and grooving earlier. Something to look forward to gives your mind pleasure and makes you happy. It's fine to reach for your favorite food and drink treats during quarantine. 

Chat With Old Friends

Now there is time to reach out and reconnect with old friends. Maybe not old boyfriends or girlfriends, but friends from the past who you have lost touch with or family members who you are long overdue for a catch up chat with. Often when you contact friends and family you will discuss what you have been doing or are planning to do. Since this is off the board at the moment, it's likely the conversations will naturally drift to the past and good times you had. Remembering these special times makes you feel great and filled with joy and hopefulness. 

Go through old photos of past holidays and events. Your computer is probably full of dinners, outings, birthdays and other wonderful times. Sending a photo to a friend and asking if they remember that time is a perfect way to say hello.

Take A Virtual Holiday

The Internet is filled with photos and videos of wonderful holiday options. Let your mind roam to the streets of Paris, the jungle safaris of Africa or the cosy Korean bath houses. Whatever your dream holiday is, you can take it now in the virtual world. You will take another holiday so now is the perfect time to do a little planning. And as you imagine the holiday of a lifetime your mood will be elevated to a happy place.
