Self Serve Advertising Platform Recently Released Features

At ExactDrive we are constantly working to improve and enhance our self-serve advertising platform. Online advertising is a complex and constantly changing endeavor that requires a firm hand on the pulse of change, brand safety and the set of next best competitive features. We are excited to roll out yet another round of new features and enhancements. Please have a read and continue providing feedback to us so we know what other features are needed so they can be adding to our November release.

I. INVENTORY COST-PER-CLICK (CPC)

1) ADD COST-PER-CLICK ADVERTISING TO INVENTORY TARGETING

On the Inventory Targeting page a new cost-per-click option will be available. The column with the heading CPM will change to be a drop down menu with the option for CPM or CPC; with CPM being the current default functionality. If the user chooses CPC, the page will change so the CPM heading now says CPC, and the Impressions heading changes to Click Volume. Also, when the user chooses CPC they will receive a warning message that whatever numbers they entered into fields, when CPM was their choice, will be cleared for the CPC options. The specific inventory row edit category options will however be saved and not cleared. When CPC is chosen, the functionality of the rows will remain the same as it is now, but the math of how the values are calculated will change. The math will change so that it is “CPC x Click Volume = Cost”. In short, users can now build and buy pure CPC advertising campaigns. So, yes, that means you can take a CPC Adwords campaign and turn it into a CPC display campaign on ExactDrive's self-serve advertising platform.

2) CHANGES TO INVENTORY ROWS

The inventory targeting rows for Video and Facebook will be hidden as they are not allowed in a CPC selection at this time. Also, for domain targeting, the user will be able to have the same functionality they do now, except they will not see an option for an include list. The include list text box will be hidden, also when the user does a domain search, they will not be able to include domains, only exclude. The campaign summary page will also be updated to not show the hidden rows, as well as show the correct headings, whether it is CPM or CPC.

II. GEOGRAPHY UPDATES

1) ADD GEOGRAPHY TARGETING FOR COUNTRIES

Currently on the Geography targeting page, the users country defaults to United States. The user will still default to this option, but on the Geography targeting page, an edit button will appear to the right of the Country row. When a user clicks the Edit button they will be taken to a page with the heading, “Edit Geography Targeting: Country”. This page will look and behave like the geography page for states/regions. On the left side of the page will be a list of supported countries where a user can click an include link. When the country is included, it
will show up on the right side column, and be auto saved to the database. When the user returns back to the Geography Targeting page, they will see their selections show in the country row. In short, users can now build and run campaigns that target any country in the World that has Internet access.

2) UPDATES TO STATES/REGIONS

The geography states/region edit page will be updated to reflect the additional country options. A list of new states/regions will be supplied by ExactDrive and imported into the database. When a user chooses to edit their states/regions, they will only see states/regions for the countries they have chosen. The functionality will remain the same once a user is on the edit geography targeting page for states/regions, they will just see a dynamic list based on the countries chosen. If the user has not chosen a country yet, the default list will be states for the United States. In short, a user can now build and run campaigns that target any state/region in the World that has Internet access.

3) UPDATES TO CITIES

The geography city edit page will be updated to reflect the additional country and state/region options. A list of new cities will be supplied by ExactDrive and imported into the database. When a user chooses to edit their cities, they will only see cities for the states/regions they have chosen. The functionality will remain the same once a user is on the edit geography targeting page for cities, they will just see a dynamic list based on the countries and states/regions they have chosen. If they user has not chosen any country or states/regions, the default list will be cities in the United States. In short, a user can now build and run campaigns that target any city in the World that has Internet access.

III. REAL-TIME ADVERTISER AND CAMPAIGN REPORTING

1) ExactDrive's Self-Serve Advertising Platform will now be offering real-time advertiser and campaign reporting. Defaulted by Eastern Standard Time and updated hourly, the advertiser and campaign reporting section will display analytics on both an advertiser and campaign level. Impression, clicks and conversion data will be provided along with creative attribution and transparent domain level analytics. In short, users will now be able to pull reporting at-will for any advertiser or campaign they are managing, down to the domain level or performance per creative. Any report pulled is exportable and from their can be adjusted and branded however the user wants and needs. This section will be further enhanced in November 2013 when we roll out interactive charts and graphs for the reporting section.
